Who are we?
Above all else, we’re followers of Jesus Christ. We believe that He is the Son of God, and that He meant what He said to His disciples, “I have come that you may have life, and have life abundantly”. We live our lives by taking Him at His word.
At Elberton Church, our mission is to invite people into an encounter with God that leads to a transformation into the image of life-giving love.

Where did we come from?
Elberton Pentecostal Holiness Church was born during a revival under a tent. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Blackmon, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Poole, Sr., Mr. Van Goss, Mrs. Wilbur Goss, and Miss Wilma Skelton walked down a sawdust aisle to form the new church. The church worshiped in a house on Roberts Street for the next three years before beginning to make plans for a more permanent location on May 1, 1938.
This church launched many ministers, musicians, teachers, missionaries, and other mature followers of Jesus. Many people have experienced the life-changing work of Jesus because of this church.
Where are we going?
We’re always moving towards earth looking more like Heaven. This looks like fostering a community that loves, that worships, and that believes in the impossible. We move as a community by putting one foot in front of the other, following the wind of the Spirit one step at a time.
